Jennifer Allsop, Po Murray, Diana Cochran, Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright, Gwendolyn La Croix,) & Kristen Song – State Capitol Building Albany
Last week, our delegation traveled to Albany alongside Diana Cochran—Francesco’s mom—and her partner Jennifer Allsop, as well as Kristin Song (mother of Ethan) and Gwendolyn LaCroix (mother of Jonah). At Assembly Member Khaleel M. Anderson’s briefing on Francesco’s Law, these brave mothers shared their heartbreaking stories about losing their sons to unsecured guns. They made it clear that if safe storage were the law of the land, their sons might still be with us today.
During the briefing, we passionately told the NY Assembly members that embracing a gun culture focused on safe storage could save countless lives. We stressed that, had every firearm been securely stored, the tragic events at Sandy Hook might have been prevented—saving a mother, 20 children, and 6 educators.
Now is the time for New York to join Connecticut in passing Francesco’s Law. This vital legislation is proudly supported by:
